Pearson test of English Academic/ PTE is the world’s prominent computer based test of English for abroad study. PTE Academic offers malleable testing locations with test centers in over 50 countries worldwide. Students applying for a higher education institution in UK, Australia, USA and New Zealand can appear for PTE Academic.
PTE evaluates the listening, reading, writing and speaking skills of the applicants to prove their level of Academic English proficiency. Questions often test 2 skills together such as listening and reading or reading and speaking. The whole test is done in a single period, lasting 3 hours and is taken sitting at a computer in a secure test environment. The speaking part of the test is done at the computer. Your voice is recorded and sent for marking. PTE is a 3-hour Computer based test that evaluates the English skills of candidates. The test is approved for use by the UK Border Agency and the Australian Department of Immigration and citizenship for Visa applications.PTE Academic results are available in five business days.
